1,214,724. Linkwork. WESTLAND AIRCRAFT Ltd. 5 June, 1969 [9 Aug., 1968], No. 38197/68. Heading F2K. A mechanism for adjusting the velocity ratio between input and output levers or rods comprises relatively rotatable coaxial rings 11, 14, one of which is gimbal mounted on a support 16, each ring being connected to at least one of the input and output levers or rods, and control means for rotating one ring relative to the other to adjust said velocity ratio. As shown, the inner ring 14 is gimbal mounted on a fixed support 16 and the relative rotational positions of the rings are controlled via alink 13 universally pivoted to a lug on the outer ring 11. Input levers or rods act on lugs 19, 20 on the inner ring 14 and output levers or rods are connected to lugs 17, 18 on the outer ring 11. In Figs. 3, 4 (not shown) the outer ring is held against rotation by an elbow linkage (24) and the inner ring is gimbal mounted on a shaft (26) rotatable by an arm (25) for ratio adjustment. In other modifications, the outer ring may be gimbal mounted, or the inner or outer ring may be duplicated to increase the number of control connections available. |
