1,214,262. Direct connections between conductors. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 13 Feb., 1969 [16 Feb., 1968], No. 7911/69. Heading H2E. [Also in Division H1] Electrical contact strips 5, 7 deposited on flexible insulating sheets 1, 3, e.g. of synthetic resin, are pressed together by an external force, causing them to make direct electrical contact where they cross each other at a plurality of places. As shown, the arrangement forms part of a magnetic store comprising the contact strips, ferrite bar 31, ring-hole 29, aperture 27 and a sensing element (not shown). Contact strips 15, 17 carried by sheets 11, 13 respectively are electrically connected by strip 19 (Fig. 2). Strip 21 electrically contacts the strip in opposition, and strip 23 has no current conductive function, but serves to make up the thickness of the stack. Terminal 9 provides access for a current impulse through strip 5 to the magnetic store. The strip contacts 5, 7 as shown are of zig-zag form; alternatively one of them may be curvilinear and the other linear (Fig. 4, not shown). |
