METHOD OF SHARPENING OF NEEDLE-SHAPED SURFACE BY THE END OF ORIENTED CIRCLE

The method of sharpening of needle-shaped surface by the end of oriented circle includes the displacement of grinding wheel along rectilinear generatrix of cylindrical surface of the detail. In this case, fixed position of the rotational axis of grinding wheel in the vertical plane relative to the rotational axis of workpiece provides for required direction of the resultant velocity of sharpening relative to the plane of inclination of needles perpendicular to the axis of detail. The adjustment of the position of the axis of circle relative to the axis of rotation of the workpiece provides for the direction of the vector of resultant velocity of sharpening.
