METHOD FOR CONTROLLING TEMPERATURE IN THE GAS COOLING SYSTEM OF A COMPRESSOR STATION AT A GAS MAIN PIPELINE

The proposed method for controlling temperature in the gas cooling system of a compressor station at a gas main pipeline consists in measuring the gastemperature, comparing the measured temperature with specified limit values, and generating the signals that are proportional to the deviation of the gas temperature from the specified limit values in order to maintain the gas temperature within a specified temperature range. The gas temperature is controlled by varying the rotation frequency of the blowers of the cooling system that are driven by motors with controlled frequency converters. The proposed method provides a possibility to continuously control gas temperature, increase the service life of the blowers of the cooling system, and reduce power consumed by the cooling system.
