The proposed thermal method for measuring high resistance of an object consists in isolating the component of voltage across the object that is induced by thermal noise, modulating the said component by low-frequency modulating signal, amplifying the modified signal in the thermal noise frequency range, providing the square-law detection and the averaging of the low-frequency signal. The measurement results are used to determine the resistance of the object.
