<p>Solid lubricants are produced by mixing metal tungsten powder and/or metal molybdenum powder with sulphur, heating the mixture to below the b.p. of sulphur, heating the small particles of tungsten sulphide and/or molybdenum sulphide pref. to 550 degrees - 650 degrees C to initiate an exothermic reactn., and extracting and comminuting the flake-like crystals which are formed.</p> |
