In a test, 4-methoxy-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-one 1,1,-dioxide (Ia) (1 mu M) on immortalized human sebocytes (S295) caused a 43% increase in lipid synthesis compared with an untreated control. (Ia) had no effect on cell proliferation and was not cytotoxic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.</p> |
