<p>Prepn. of thiamine monothiocyanate and its hydrochloride Cpds. of formula (I): useful as components of food additives, prepd. by treating 3- 21-methyl-41-aminopyrimidyl-(51) -methyl-4-methyl-5-beta-hydro- xyethylthiothiazolone (formula I) with H2O2 in the aqs. phase, removal of unreacted H2O2 with MnO2, adding NH4CNS, neutralising with alkali, and if required the isolated thiamine-monothicyanate is reacted with HCl and evaporated under reduced pressure.</p> |
