Thermal insulation for high temperature installations

The insulator has an evacuated spherical or cylindrical housing (1) made from heat-resistant inert material, where an outer surface of the housing is sand-blasted. The housing is arranged within a vacuum chamber with its outer section arranged at an inner section of the vacuum chamber for thermal insulation in the chamber. The housing is partially or completely filled with insulation wools (3), ceramic wools and quartz glass wools. An independent claim is also included for a furnace system having a vacuum chamber with a thermal insulator.
