FIELD: fire-fighting, particularly fire-protection of explosive items. ^ SUBSTANCE: method for explosive item protection by explosive item treatment with condensed substance involves arranging explosive item inside heat-shielding layer; locating condensed substance in sealed chamber so that the condensed substance may be discharged in emergency conditions. Condensed substance is separated from heat-shielding layer inside the heat-shielding layer or outside it by filling several sealed chambers made of heat-resistant material with the condensed substance. The chambers are discretely arranged around explosive item. Prior condensed substance discharge from the sealed chambers the condensed substance is subjected to phase change and separated into liquid and gaseous phases. Gaseous phase is displaced, throttled and several jets are formed with the use of energy generated in emergency conditions. The jets are directed towards explosive item and heat flow at different angles or along helical line.
