FIELD: medical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: device has measuring scale and articulated branches having handles manufactured as rings. Short branch ends are shaped as half-rings 0.5 cm far from each other in closed state. Two plates are fixed on the longer branch arm with a rod pivotally mounted between them. Working end of the rod projects beyond the half-rings by 0.5-1.0 cm. The measuring scale is mounted on the same branch in perpendicular to its surface between the hinged joints. Short-to-long branch length ratio is within the limits of 1:7-10. ^ EFFECT: high measurement accuracy; reduced risk of injuries. ^ 1 dwg
