PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment capable of easily visibly displaying an electronic mail even in the one provided with the display screen of a small size in displaying the received electronic mail. SOLUTION: At the displaying of the received electronic mail on the display screen, a CPU 2 detects the presence/absence of a quotation mark added to the row head of the character strings of the respective rows of the received electronic mail and the kind of the quotation mark. Then, in the case of detecting that the same quotation mark is added to the row head continuously over the character strings of the plural rows of received electronic mail information or in the case of detecting that the quotation mark is not present continuously over the plurality of rows, the line feed code of the character strings of the plurality of rows is eliminated and the character strings of the plurality of rows are turned to one character string, line-fed corresponding to the display size of the display screen of a display device 8 and displayed on the display screen. |
