FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: belt-block brake comprises braking pulley, drive, and braking belt provided with friction linings separated by spacer planks. The lining are secured to the belt by means of nibs. The braking belt is free from spacer planks between the linings arranged to the right and to the left of the interface between the running in and running off branches by the value equal to two or three linings. The friction linings are provided with chamferings from the side of rotation of the braking pulley, i.e. from the side of running in parts of the braking belt and friction linings. ^ EFFECT: expanded functional capabilities. ^ 3 dwg
