An incinerator 20 having a primary combustion chamber 35 and primary fuel burner means 55, is provided with a smoke stack 43, said stack including secondary fuel burner means 62 having fuel and air nozzles (see Fig. 4, not shown) directed toward the outlet 46 of the stack to form an elongated secondary combustion chamber 49 wherein unconsumed particles 71 are ignited. The incinerator also includes forced air blast means 72 for providing combustion air to both the primary and secondary burner means, said means 72 including combined pre-heat and insulation means for continuously delivering streams of pre-heated air into the primary combustion chamber to control the rate of combustion therein. The primary fuel burner means 55 includes a burner head 56 having a stainless steel cupshaped reflector 57, Fig. 3, a gas inlet pipe 58, and pressurized air inlet pipe 59, and a spark plug ignition 61. The secondary fuel burner means 63 has a narrow burner head 64, mounted on a curved plate 65. The burner head 64 includes a stainless steel cup-shaped reflector 66, a gas inlet pipe 67, and a pressurized air inlet pipe 68, as well as a spark plug ignition 69. |
