In each iteration of the LDPC decoder the hard-decision result is multiplied with a parity-check matrix of the LDPC code. The resulting vector determines the number of parity errors. The hard-decision result with its corresponding number of parity errors is stored. If it is determined that the received data is uncorrectable after the received data is decoded a given number of times, the hard-decision result corresponding to the smallest number of parity errors is output a final decoding result.
