<p>A hormonal female contraception method involves continuous administration of a single-phase preparation containing dienogest (I) in a daily amount of 0.5-3.0 mg and estradiol (II) in a daily amount of 0.5-3.0 mg (or an estrogenically equivalent amount of another natural or synthetic estrogen) over a time-span of n x 21 days (where n is 2-5), followed by a 7-day pill pause. An independent claim is included for a pharmaceutical package, adapted for oral administration, comprising a single phase preparation as above, the number of individual dose units of the preparation being suitable for carrying out the contraception method as above; and patient instructions for the use of the preparation in the method.
