FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of housings of centrifugal blowers intended for transfer of natural gas. Proposed housing of centrifugal blower has shell with suction and discharge holes pointed to different sides. Axes of holes are arranged in one plane in longitudinal section. Outer surface of shell is elliptical and it is provided with flat sides cut square to axes of holes from side of suction and discharge holes. Center of radius of elliptical outer surface of shell is displaced in vertical plane relative to center of radius of inner surface to side from axis of holes through definite distance. Ratio of radii of outer and inner surfaces of shell are in definite relation. Distance from flat cut walls to vertical plane is in definite relation with radius of inner surface. ^ EFFECT: improved reliability, reduced consumption of material and labor input. ^ 2 tbl, 2 dwg |
