A mechanical torque converter which receives power in an cylindrical impeller of increasing diameter, the impeller circumferentially incorporates a spiral rack and, afterwards, transmits the power in a controlled manner through a composed planetary system, lodged inside the impeller, consisting of a group of satellite gears engaging with said rack, at the diameter of the impeller corresponding to the demanded power. The satellites will make cyclically the change of spire, by always matching the outlet tooth with certain tooth at every revolution, and maintaining the same position for each torque condition. In order to change the torque by means of a control mechanism or torque sensor, the rack's diameter that makes contact with the satellites will be varied in a given number of positions at each spire, within the same advance pattern of the satellites, by means of the rotation of a grooved shaft which jointly with a threaded central bar, will make the spider to move forward, placing all the planetary system in said position, and transmitting the traction to the planets, to the central gear, and to the outlet shaft, in a positive way, and variable speed, depending on the demanded torque.
