The method involves placing a receiver (4) in mode of recording of an identity (60) of an additional transmitter of an additional remote control (100). The receiver is placed when, simultaneously, power supply of the receiver is restored and a signal containing known identity (6) of the receiver is emitted from a known remote control (1) of the receiver. The placement of the receiver in the recording mode is signaled.
