Composition (I) of composite solid propellant type, comprises three types of principal constitutive ingredients: a binder (10-15 mass %); a pulverulent oxidant (15-25 mass %); and a solid metal (aluminum, magnesium, silicon, boron, titanium and/or zirconium) powder (60-75 mass %); and presenting a balance out of oxygen less than 50% (preferably 70%). An independent claim is also included for production of energy comprising: combustion of (I) (generating metal gases charged with the state vapor and/or liquid); and reaction of the metal gases charged with water.
