1302124 Mounting lamps HORIZONTGERATEWERK DR HEINZ MULLER 26 Jan 1970 [24 Jan 1969] 3593/70 Heading F4R [Also in Division E2] A warning lamp 2 adapted to be secured to a barrier such as a post 12 comprises a bearing lug 3 carried by the lamp casing 1, a pair of threaded rods 6 connected to the lug 3, a cross-bar 7 having bores for the threaded rods, and a pair of clamping nuts 10 carried by the respective rods, the bar having recesses 9 for receiving and shrouding the nuts and the nuts being of circular cylindrical form so that in use they are inaccessible to conventional spanners adapted to grip the periphery. Each nut has a plurality of holes (11) in its exposed end face so that it can be turned by a pin spanner of corresponding, preferably non-standard, form. The rods 6 are preferably pivoted to the lug 3 by means of a shaft 5, the lug being rigidly secured to the casing 1 which supports the lamp housing 2 and may contain a battery. An additional clamping member (13, Figs 4 and 5, not shown) of L- shaped form may be loosely pivoted to the lug 3 by a pin and slot connection (14, 15) and engaged by the bar 7 so that when the lamp is mounted on the edge of a barrier board (12<SP>1</SP>) the board is clamped between the member and the lug. In a modification (Figs. 7 and 8, not shown) the rods are rigidly secured to a member 3 journalled on a stirrup-like handle (20) pivoted to the casing 1. To facilitate disengagement, one of the bores in the bar 7 may be open at one side so that the bar can be swung about the other rod when the nuts are loosened. |
