The axle has a transversal support (2) whose rigidity in flexion and in torsion is actively adjusted according to respective displacement position, by an active component (7) placed in an open channel zone of the support. The channel zone is delimited by branches (5, 6) and by longitudinal edges (3, 4). The component is formed by an electro-rheological fluid housed in a flexible chamber or by an electro-rheological solid body.
