The illuminable board has a base plate (3) along with a lighting unit with an illuminating means (2), a carrier medium (5) and a translucent plate (6) whereby the lighting unit contains a dimmer (7). The dimmer acts as a source of brightness, which can be controlled in the direct environment of the board. An independent claim is also included for the display.
