An altered antibody comprising scFv and Fc. In the altered antibody, variable regions of L chain and H chain are expressed as a single strand as scFv. The altered antibody can be expressed as a polypeptide of single strand further containing an Fc region. The altered antibody is a vector of simple construction and realizes reemergence of a structure imitating natural IgG. The polynucleotide coding for this altered antibody can be utilized as a vector for genetic therapy that is used to attain in vivo expression of an antibody molecule useful as especially an IL-6 receptor inhibitor.
