The control has a device (3) for controlling temperature of a metallic component (1). A sensor (4) is provided over a part of the metallic component to be controlled for detecting the temperature of the metallic component which is to be controlled. The temperature controlling device is connected to the metallic component by pair of contact wires. The contact wires are made of iron or nickel and chromium nickel. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an electric iron including metallic component as its base (B) an electric heater for heating metallic surfaces.
