The device has two half shells (14) made of metal and with a circulating flange. A ring groove fixes a fuel injecting valve in a fuel distributor line as the groove impressed on a valve cup. The fixing is stabilized by a sleeve that is pushed over the shells and is secured by an O-ring that is inserted into the groove rotating in the shells. A positive connection is made between the cup and the valve over the shells. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixing a fuel injecting valve in a fuel distributor line.
