<p>Comparative weighing machine e.g. butter water content. For rapid calibration and setting, the needle pivot and the scale engraved direct in percentages, may be moved laterally on a sliding carriage, by a lead screw and adjuster knob, relative to the actuating lever from the beam of the balance causing the pointer to deflect. From the pointer shaft, diametrically opposite to the pointer, a pair of round parallel rods extend radially and a side pin on the above actuator lever passes between them. The basic balance system used is of conventional type with spring loaded tare weight compensation for the sample containers and eddy current beam damping.</p> |
