<p>Concave end caps have skirts which fit inside the tube ends and retain a resilient sealing ring, the body and end caps being bound into a single structure by a filament wound casing. The base cap is moulded in a plastic material such as polyethylene, PVC or pref. ABS and features integral bifurcated partitions which pref. are curved to accept liquids supplied by a central conduit down onto the base and direct the flow into a series of turbulent tangential streams. A perforated baffle plate is retained by the end cap to support a solid packing in the tubular body and to locate the end of the internal downpipe. The top cap will accept a multi channel valve head. Particularly designed for water softening equipment where light weight is preferred-alternatively the end caps and body may be made of brass, iron or steel.</p> |
