The strip has an outer shell and a base that is attached to an inner surface of the shell and is joined to a construction body. The strip is directly and/or indirectly connected with a glass pane of a motor vehicle door by an adhesive (4) in an area of a front edge of the pane in a firm manner. The base and the shell are manufactured in a two-stage injection molding procedure. The base has a receiving part in which the edge is inserted.
