CONTINUOUS CONVEYANCE-TYPE FREEZER

A conveyance-type freezer for cooling or freezing a work placed on a conveyor belt by blowing cool air to the work from slit nozzles arranged above and below the conveyor belt. In order to maintain high cooling effect and to prevent formation of a cool air discharge passage from adversely affecting the cooling effect, a straightened jet flow with a long reaching distance is produced to form, by the Coanda effect, a thin film flow in close contact with the surface of the work. To achieve the above, slit nozzles (5a, 6a) are continuously arranged side-by-side in a conveyance direction of a conveyor (2) and formed in a chevron shape, forming a cool air runway section on the upstream side of nozzle openings. By this, a straightened jet flow with a high jetting speed is produced, and a discharge passage for leading out the flow of cool air after jetting to both sides of a conveyor (2) is continuously formed in a recess (12) between the slit nozzles. The discharge passage thus formed does not hinder the installation of the slit nozzles.
