Method of diagnosis to determine changes in a capacitor for energy storage in vehicles due to aging based on measurement of several age dependent parameters

The diagnostic method measures age dependent changes in a capacitor in at least one discharge process. Several age-dependent parameters of the capacitor are measured using different discharge processes. Each parameter is associated with a value of a component in a substitute circuit diagram of the capacitor. Independent claims also cover a system for carrying out the method.
