Methods of preparing a print media and systems for preparing an ink-jet image, are disclosed. One exemplary method (20), among others, includes providing (22) a print substrate (16); dispensing (24) a monomer/oligomer composition onto the print substrate (16), wherein the monomer/oligomer composition includes at least one monomer/oligomer and a photointiator; and exposing (26) the monomer/oligomer composition to a radiation energy, wherein the interaction of the radiation energy with the photoinitiator initiates the polymerization of the first monomer/oligomer and the second monomer/oligomer in the monomer/oligomer composition to form an ink receiving layer.
