<p>A pipe joint, comprising a male joint. The male joint is selectively connectable to a first female joint (for example, for 25 MPa) or a second female joint (for 90 MPa) which handle different fluid pressures and capable of preventing a second O-ring set for the second female joint from being displaced by a fluid supplied from the first female joint when the male join t is connected to the first female joint. An O-ring holding member (82) displaceable between an advanced position (Fig. 3) where the second O-ring (78) is prevented from being displaced by the fluid flowing from the first female joint through a through hole when the O-ring holding member is locate d on the radial inner side of the second O-ring (78) and connected to the firs t female joint (20') and a retreated position (Fig. 1) where the O-ring holdin g member is displaced backward by the tip of the valve element (44) of the second female joint when connected to the second female joint (20) and the t ip outer peripheral surface of the valve element is sealingly engaged with the second O-ring is installed in the through hole (70).</p> |
