The method involves selecting a cookie file (6) from a user data processing terminal (1), and comparing a value of the cookie file in a user data base. The Cookie file is erased in the user data processing terminal by a host computer (3) and replaced by a new Cookie file with a new value. The value of the new Cookie file is stored as an actual value to a concerned user in the user data base of the host computer.
