Methods are described for inhibiting corrosion of corrodible metals present in contact with water in recirculating cooling water systems. The compositions employed contain a stannous salt of a non-carbon acid, are particularly effective at high temperatures and/or high hardness levels, and form little or no deposits on the metal surface. |
