METHOD FOR SPEEDING UP SUPER RESOLUTION PROCESSING

A method for speeding up super resolution processing by decreasing the number of convolution computations which is the number of estimations. The method is for speeding up super resolution processing of deducing one high-resolution image from low-resolution images involving misregistration. The method comprises a first step of registering low-resolution images in a high-resolution image space and using all the pixels of the registered low-resolution images as the pixels sampled at irregular intervals in the high-resolution image space, a second step of dividing the high-resolution image space into small areas having a predetermined size, and third step of using the estimate at a predetermined representative position in each small area as the estimates of all the pixels present in the small area.
