Heat exchange tank for heat pump system has perforated supply and return pipes ducted through insulated tank

A heat exchange and storage tank for a heat pump system, for supplying warm or cooled water has a pressurised insulated container through which are passes the supply (2) and return (3) pipes for a heat pump circuit. Inside the tank the pipes have arrays of holes to provide a simple shunt to enable the heat pump to operate at an optimum setting. The perforates pipes are exchangeable to match the flow requirements. The tank is also fitted with connections for solar heating and for thermal heating.
