The indicator has visually highlighting units to provide a display that is displaced with respect to scale reference point (7c) and the scale in respective displacement coordinates of a display surface. The units are designed to pass the display in one identical time intervals, during displacement in a direction of one coordinate and change the direction, during the displacement of the display in another coordinate. An independent claim is also included for an analog display method for display a value of a variable, in particular, a time display method.
