The process of production of the present invention comprises feeding out a plurality of flat cables in one direction intermittently and transporting them intermittently in the closely arranged state, taking them up while continuously or intermittently heat bonding the adjoining side edges over predetermined lengths at the time of transport, and cutting them at predetermined timings. Due to this, it is possible to easily produce a cable at low cost without any discarded portion.
