Two claws for guiding the binding wire are located on opposite sides of the objects being tied together and a mechanism is provided for supplying the wire to the first claw and then over an intermediate gap to the second claw. The wire is shaped to form a bracket extending around three sides of the objects and the bracket arms are secured together on the fourth side. The free end of the first claw has a first guide for directing the front end of the wire along a defined path towards the free end of the second claw. A second guide for receiving the front end of the wire is provided on the free end of the second claw. A receiving part of the second guide is offset relative to the path defined by the first guide. |
