<p>An electric power steering device for a vehicle, wherein the control of the steering angle of steered wheels depends basically on the rotation of a steering wheel by an driver except when the steering angle of the steered wheels is changed by the activation of a vehicle behavior control device. The electric power steering device in which an assist power merely reduces a torque required for rotating the steering wheel comprises a tie rod connection bar supported so as to be linearly moved, a rotating member installed around the tie rod connection bar, a rotation converting device rotating the rotating member by the rotation of a steering shaft, a rotation-linear motion converting device converting the rotation of the rotating member to the linear motion of the tie rod connection bar, and a power assisting motor imparting a rotating force to the rotating member.</p> |
