A sliding clasp fastener is made from threads that are transparent and loosely woven. The spacing in the outer region of the tape, Fig. 1, may be ensured by welding at the; intersections of warp and weft threads, which are preferably made from thermoplastic monofilaments, or by suitably-shaping 'the threads for positive engagement. The links 13 may also be transparent. In forming complete fasteners from a continuous length 16, Fig. 2, a division region 17 is formed by welding and a gap 18 for insertion of slider 19 is stamped out. |
