A circular knitting machine for knitting textiles is disclosed. The knitting machine includes a cylinder 2 which is rotatable, a cylinder ring 2a located around circumference of upper part of the cylinder 2, a plurality of knitted needles performing up/down movements side the cylinder 2, a plurality of sinkers performing forward/backward movements on the cylinder ring 2a, a knitted cam 3 guiding the plurality of knitted cams side the cylinder 2, and a sinker cam guiding forward/backward movements of the sinkers, in which the sinker cam is mounted on a sinker ring 7 arranged on the upper part of the cylinder ring 2a. The plurality of knitted needles have needle buts whose locations are different from each other to be properly operated with the knitted cam and perform up/down movements, respectively. The sinker ring 7 includes an operating cam 15 of cartridge type which guides respective forward/backward movements of the plurality of sinkers. The plurality of sinkers 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, and 4-4 include main-sinker buts 4m, respectively, and control-sinker buts 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d whose locations are different from each other, whereby forward/backward movements can be performed, associating with the operating cam 15 of cartridge type, which is mounted on the sinker ring 7 together with the sinker cam 3. Therefore, the circular knitting machine can produce a small amount of textiles, which has various patterns, at relatively low manufacturing costs, since patterns by knitted piles can be easily and rapidly changed. |
