Process and plant for treating domestic or industrial residual waste

The process has the following steps: a) pre-sorting of waste into discarded and valuable parts; b) shredding of pre-sorted waste in an autogenous mill into fine and coarse parts; c) separation of coarse waste into bulk and combustible material; d) separation of fine waste into a part for milling as fuel and into an organic-rich fine part in a drum mill when it is sorted and/or biologically treated or dried.
