Rotor position determination in a switched reluctance machine

The method involves applying voltage to the phase winding of a stator independent of the period of the movement of the rotor, and detecting peak of current waveform to determine the position of the rotor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) rotor position determination system; (2) computer program product for determining rotor position.
