The invention relates to a method for over-moulding a glazing (1), in particular a curved glazing for motor vehicles by injecting a plastic or reactive material on at least one particularly peripheral part of the glazing. The inventive method consists in placing a glazing in a mould comprising at least one sealing joint (6) which describes the over-moulding limits. Said sealing joint is embodied in the form of a shaped strip which is inserted into a groove (8) of a mould (3) and held by friction contact and/or by additional forms engagement and/or by gluing to at least one wall (12) of the groove (8) and has a Young modulus ranging from 30 to 400 MPa. A joint which exhibits said properties and a mould provided therewith are also disclosed.
