<p>Skiing boot contains particles of a hard material in the parts of its outer surface which is subject to abrasive wear, at least of the latter being of plastics e.g. fibreglass. Pref. the particles are metal carbide, Al2O3 or Si oxide granules which may be admixed with an epoxy resin. The boot may be reinforced at the side facing the other boot of a pair, and in the region of the ball, heel and ankles.</p> |
