<p>Process for surface treatment of glass or ceramic articles esp. glass sheet comprising electromigration under the effect of an electric field whereby the electrode is surrounded in each electrolytic compartment with a porous insulating wall of such shape that the lines of force of the electric field cannot reach the surface of the article without having first traversed the porous wall. The process permits the increase of speed of diffusion without the appearance of surface defects affecting the optical qualities.</p> |
