<p>The open-end spinning feed roller is engaged by a clutch controlled by a solenoid, which stops its run when yarn is broken. Simultaneously, another solenoid actuates a pawl and indexes a ratchet connected to the feed roller. This turns the latter backwards to ensure that fibres presented to the opener roller are withdrawn.</p> |
