<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component that is reduced in leaked magnetic flux and can be improved in the DC superimposing characteristics by applying a bias magnetic field with a simple structure, and to provide a method of manufacturing the coil component. <P>SOLUTION: A choke coil is constituted of a drum core 1 composed of a magnetic material and winding 3 arranged in the drum core 1. The periphery of the choke coil is molded with a mixture 2 of magnetic material powder and a resin. In addition, the admixture 2 is magnetically oriented by means of an external magnetic field, and the mixing ratio of the resin in the admixture 2 is adjusted to 10-40 wt% with respect to 100 wt% of the magnetic material powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
